Leaves simple, alternate to spiral, elliptic lanceolate, 8-15 x 3.5-6cm, dark green surface, yellow green underneath, apex long acuminate; secondary nerves 11-14 pairs; distinct reticulate tertiary veins; petioles 15-20 mm long
Inflorescence short panicle, only about 1cm long, axillary or terminal; calyx lobes lanceolate, 3 mm long; corolla slightly longer than the calyx.
Fruits with 3 longer wings 3.2 x 1.1 cm with 5 prominent longitudinal veins, 2 shorter wings, 6-9 x 1-2.5mm, nut 3-5 mm ovoid.
